All steps lead toward Back-to-School

I’m excited about the new school year.
Hope you are, too!

While the “progress path” is rarely easy and perfectly straight – I appreciate how our staff is planning, flexing, and adjusting as necessary to make sure our students return on September 6 to a school campus that is fully operational.

If you’ve ever remodeled your kitchen or added an addition to your house, you know what working in the midst of construction can be like.

But we’re continuing to move forward.

So far, the only setback schedule-wise is with the extension of our high school library. Due to supply-chain issues, our contractors have been unable to receive the windows they need for installation. This will push back the completion of our library extension until later this fall.

One thing is certain.

You’ll see more smiles than construction yellow tape and dust when school begins.

And you’ll see a number of new smiles, too!

To date, seven new teachers will be joining our excellent roster of educators in each one of our schools.

I’m proud to report FSD’s “people advantage” continues!
