Perhaps you saw the post below recently on Facebook or FSD’s website.
Under the headline FSD Survey Analysis Underway, it highlighted last week’s Strategic Plan Workshop.
The FSD Leadership Team met on Sept. 28 with Dr. Mario Acosta to begin digging into the student, staff, and parent data received from our “High Reliability Schools” Level 1 survey on Safe and Collaborative School Culture.
The district thanks everyone who provided input on the survey. To have so many people eager to celebrate the district’s areas of strength and willing to work together on opportunities for improvement got this initial effort rolling in the right direction.
The recent survey on Safe and Collaborative School Culture was just the beginning. There will be additional surveys throughout the school year.
I’m glad we’re off to such a fine start!
We’re seeing the value in listening to a variety of perspectives.
And doing this is essential.
We’re taking care to learn from the input of our school family and community members – and we will continue to do so in our future surveys as well.
Along with discussing and evaluating financial constraints, state and federal mandates, our facility and technology infrastructure, and the insights from representatives of higher education, area employers, and various training programs (just to name a few!), we want to ensure the input we receive throughout this school year is also considered in our work.
We’re committed to helping FSD remain future-focused, high-quality, and welcoming to all for many decades to come.
It’s important we do this right.
Our young Eagles deserve no less.
Thank you for all that YOU do, too!
I hope to see you at the Homecoming parade and game Friday night!
