Ever been put to the test?

Spring Break probably felt like it zipped by too quickly for most of us.

I hope you had a wonderful time with your loved ones and friends – however you enjoyed your week of “no school.”

I’m happy our entire Fmuth school family is now back on a regular school day schedule once again.

April brings more than spring showers, you know.

April is also the month – mainly at our high school – for testing.

Along with the PSAT and SAT testing occurring at FHS, many of our students in our other grades are participating in April’s “testing window” as well.

Please watch for special alerts from our principals and teachers about this.

There may be a few school day changes here and there you’ll want to know about.

And I’m keeping this email short for a good reason.

In future emails, I’m going to give you additional information about the process we’ll use for developing our new Strategic Plan.

These emails will be a bit longer than usual.

As I share the format and timeline with you, I’ll also ask you to participate in our online survey and provide us with your perspectives and ideas in other ways, too.

Your input is an essential part of ensuring that our new Strategic Plan gives us the direction FSD needs to successfully tackle both our future challenges and our opportunities.

It’s my hope you’ll let me “bank” some of your extra time and thought now, so I can call upon you for them later.

(See? My email today has a sneaky not-so-hidden agenda!)

As always, it’s your contribution and those of everyone in our community that help keep our school district one of the best around.
