Join in FSD’s Hall of Fame recognition, too!
As you know, everyone in our school family takes pride in our motto “FSD – where effort opens opportunity.”
And as you may also know, this isn’t always the easiest motto to live up to because every effort always involves making a choice – the choice to make THE EFFORT in the first place!
Making the effort is not about having the time.
It’s not about having the energy.
And it’s certainly not about waiting for all of the stars to line up perfectly. Nope.
Making THE EFFORT is all about making the choice to step up and serve the people you care about and the causes you believe in.
This is why I hope you’ll join us for our Hall of Fame lunch at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 4 at the Bronner Performing Arts Center, Homecoming Parade at 6:00 PM and the football game at 7:00 PM.
It’s a fantastic day when our entire school community comes together – and it’s all topped off by honoring our two 2019 Hall of Fame inductees, this year’s Alumnus of the Year and Champion of Children.
So be sure to visit this link to our Hall of Fame honorees.
Our 2019 “Alumnus of the Year” award goes to Dr. Tom Keinath, a graduate from the Class of 1959, our high school’s 3rd graduating class.
Tom K. embodies the spirit of Frankenmuth High School and
carried our solid academic foundation and high standards to an
incredible level of success in his 40 year career.
Our 2019 “Champion of Children” award goes to Tom Daugharty, a retired 50-year police officer, who served with dedication and compassion the children in our school for 28 years.
Tom D. embodies the spirit of our FSD school community and
never failed to consistently and effectively stand up for the best interests and safety of our students, families, and staff.
Here is also the link to the story about how Judy Zehnder-Keller came to then Superintendent Mary Anne Ackerman back in 2013 with the idea to get out FSD Hall of Fame off and running.
Please make THE EFFORT to check out the stories of these amazing people who have given so much of themselves to Frankenmuth… and our world!
I hope to see you at our Homecoming and Hall of Fame events!
