FSD Foundation

Mission

The mission of the Frankenmuth School District Foundation is to collect and distribute funds in order to improve the educational opportunities for stakeholders of the Frankenmuth School District.

We aim to strengthen our community’s commitment to education by offering the stakeholders of the Frankenmuth School District the resources needed to develop their academic talents and intellectual capacities. We seek to broaden horizons and provided challenging learning opportunities. We wish to facilitate cooperative ventures among the Foundation, community groups, and the school district. Further, the foundation encourages school/community partnerships by providing a means for individuals and organizations to share resources with the schools and students in order to enhance learning.

What does that mean for you?

Are you interested in learning outside of the regular school day? Or providing funding for programs or projects for your students? The Frankenmuth School District Foundation provides grants to pay for these opportunities for staff and students. Fundable activities may include any educational institute, workshop, music, or arts program NOT conducted by the Frankenmuth School District.  The program must be educational in nature.  Examples may include student exchange programs, a university or other summer youth program in science, math, music, journalism, yearbook, choir, drama, vocational education, or an extracurricular fine arts program.  NO sports camps, faith-based activities, general summer recreational camps, regular high school or college credit classes, therapeutic or private music lessons are eligible.  Material and equipment grants may also be provided for individual high school students who take an approved independent study class as part of their curriculum.

Recent Grants

The Frankenmuth School District Foundation awarded nearly $5,000 to Frankenmuth students and teachers in the Spring 2021 round of applications. The Foundation helped our students attend learning opportunities such as Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, SVSU Summer Theatre Camp, and Delta College Planetarium & Learning Center.
