Board of Education Regular Meeting will be help on July 15, 2024. An agenda will be posted by July 12th.

I’m not sure they’re right.

While I understand the race metaphor – the start, the challenges, the finish line, the reflexes needed, and so on – I’m glad our district has its focus on something quite different for all of our students.

Our focus is on ensuring the proper fuel and support are available at every pitstop in their educational journey.

The fuel and support provided to our students comes from multiple sources, including:

  • The love of parents, grandparents, and family members
  • The energy and curiosity of the students themselves
  • Our caring and talented teachers and staff
  • An incredibly generous and engaged community
  • The commitment to high expectations and standards
  • The offering of quality opportunities worth making the effort

Our FHS Class of 2024 is comprised of an amazing group of young women and men.

You can be proud of their character and accomplishment.

Principal JoLynn Clark and the high school leadership team and staff have ably fueled and prepared our grads to become the Eagles they are; confident, skilled, hard-working, empathetic, grateful, and ready to soar and serve.

I like how our grads have been fueled and supported to succeed in life, not just to win this month’s sprint.

Here are some key dates to keep in mind.

  • Sunday, May 19 – Baccalaureate at 3 pm at St. Lorenz (optional, not school affiliated)
  • Sunday, May 19 – Honors Night at 6 pm in the BPAC
  • Tuesday, May 21 – Seniors last day (tailgate breakfast for seniors and staff before school & “sharpie day” for signing each other’s shirts for class keepsakes)
  • Commencement is Thursday, May 30, at 8 pm on the FHS Football Field (weather permitting) with the lock-in Senior Party in the EFR cafeteria from 11:59 pm to 5:30 am

A number of individuals shared their personal wishes for our grads.

I hope this gives our grads an extra boost as well.

Kate Conzelmann, FHS counselor

I wish you joy in your journey! Find something to be grateful for each day and it will be possible. I can’t wait to see all the places you go!

May your future be filled with endless possibilities, exciting adventures, and meaningful connections. Follow your passions, pursue your dreams, and continue to learn and grow every step of the way.

Believe in yourselves, stay true to your values, and never underestimate the impact you can make in the world. Your potential is limitless, and I have no doubt that you will achieve great things.

The road to success is always under construction. Keep building yourself up!

“Go into the world and do well, but more importantly, go into the world and do good.”
– Minor Myers Jr.

As Frankenmuth High School graduates, you have been provided with the knowledge and skillsets to achieve incredible successes in your lives and careers. I know that you will do well. In addition to your successes, it is important that you are also able to do good in the world. Make a positive impact. Effect meaningful change. Give. Make the world a better place. That is my hope for you.

Congratulations, Class of 2024! As you spread your wings and soar into the future of great success, remember to pause and cherish the simple joys of family and friends. Life will go by faster than you can ever imagine, so savor each moment, embrace every opportunity, and never forget the love that surrounds you. Wishing you endless success, blessings and happiness on your life adventures that lie ahead.

My wish for the Class of 2024 is for you to always continue to learn and grow from each new challenge and experience.

Follow your Dreams, believe you cannot fail, pick yourself up after every stumble, and have fun along the way.

We have shared many gifts, but you have given yourself the most precious gift of all… possibilities! May magic fill your life. Your world will never be ordinary, for you have chosen to live by your heart. Your mind will keep you safe. Your heart will keep you happy. I am proud to be your friend and so, so proud to be your teacher. Smiles to you always.

I hope you remember to keep making good choices!

Never follow anyone else’s path. Unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path; then, by all means, you should follow that path. Go out and conquer the world it’s your path to follow.

Have grace with yourself. Be kind. Embrace every experience. In all aspects of life, be sure to continue learning and growing.

In Closing –

Thanks for fueling and supporting our Class of 2024!
