A Message from Superintendent Hegenauer

Welcome to the Frankenmuth School District, Home of the EAGLES! Our schools take care of and educate over 1500 students (daycare to 12th grade) each day. Our entire staff is dedicated to the whole child and academic development from the first day they enter our buildings until the day they walk across the stage for graduation. Our mission is to prepare each graduate for the next stage of life, whether that is the workforce, military, trade school, or college.

It’s exciting to discover in every corner of the community the unbelievable commitment and support people have for our students and schools. The Frankenmuth community is strongly vested, attentive to detail, and wants us to prepare our students well for the challenges of the future. This pleases me.

You will find the FSD staff is EXCEPTIONAL – and they are “all-in” to meeting the individual learning needs of every student. I’ve seen classroom teachers, principals, office secretaries, custodians, the tech team, food service, and transportation staff all working their way down their long “to-do” list to get this every school year ready. I also get a big boost when I see the eager anticipation in the eyes of our parents and students, who love being part of the ranks of the EAGLE FAMILY.

We continue to enhance our facilities and take great pride in each project that enhances our student’s setting. From new media centers in all three buildings to upgrades in safety and security district-wide, the improvements reflect the strong community support that makes Frankenmuth schools such a special place.

I totally concur with the district slogan, “Where Effort Opens Opportunity,” and one of the ways I hope to support it is by living up to a favorite quote of mine by Basketball Coach John Calipari of the University of Kentucky.

In my estimation, Effort + Working Together = Expanded Opportunity! And this is the spirit I’d like to carry forward into every school year.
I hope you agree!
